Welcome everyone!
It's my day for the blog tour. I hope you have been tuning in daily to the other blog hop participants. I have checked them out and am very impressed with all the wonderful, talented designers out there!
As for my giveaway for the blog tour, I have a few items to give to 3 lucky winners! Read below to see how to enter for the drawings.
First, from Quiltmaker, a copy of the Quiltmaker's 100 Block Vol. 4. It is an awesome magazine that has some great blocks and lots of inspiration!

Here is my block that was included in the latest issue. Applique, you say?! Yes, I have been designing a bit of applique these days. I love to applique but unfortunately, there is not enough time to do it all. I was inpired by a tile design for this applique and hope you enjoy it too!

Second, Fit to be Geese ruler. If you haven't used my Fit to be Geese ruler, here's your chance to win one! It is perfect for trimming flying geese from 2" x 3 1/2" to 3 1/2" x 6 1/2". Also included with the ruler is a free pattern.
Third, fabric. How about a sampling of my newest fabric line, Memories of Provence? Combining rich reds, beautiful blacks, fabulous blues and soft creams, this is the latest fabric line that I designed with Maywood Studio. Here are a few of the pieces.
Now, how do you enter, you ask? Simple, leave a comment on this blog answering this question: Dog lover, cat lover, neither or both? If you do have a pet, let me know his/her name, breed (if applicable), and age. I would love to hear all about your favorite 4 legged friend. If you don't have a pet, let me know what keeps you company when you sew. Music, dvd's, silence...?
Make your comment before Sunday night and I will draw for the winners and announce them Monday morning.

This is my quilting buddy, Tillie, our Old English Sheepdog.
Thanks for participating and good luck!

My quilting buddy is an almost 5 year old brown Burmese named Jasper.
Jasper loves sitting on laps and is quite persistent at getting his favourite spot. The lap top or sewing always get pushed out of the way! Lol
I love your new fabric line...perhaps even more than I love Olde World Style. :)
Thank you for the opportunity to win.
Your block is lovely.
Excuse the above. Cha Cha cat tried her paws at typing. Her human - me - adores cats and dogs.
Usually, Jess keeps me company in my sewing room, or else, I prefer silence....I find I work through a ton of "issues" that way.
Thank you!
Your applique block is stunning, Congratulations on making the book and submitting such an inspiring block.
We're a dog only house, I'm allergic to cats!
Please don't enter me in the giveaway but thanks so much for the opportunity.
Would love a hamster, but think it would be considered prey
Love your block
Thanks for the chance to win!
I love your block and really love your lusciuos materials.
Thanks for being so generous.
I really like your ult block. I enjoy applique and your style appeals to me.

When I sew I actually like silence so I can enjoy the hum of the machine, unless I am with friends then the laughter keeps me company!
Congratulations, your block is lovely!
Would love the chance to win your magazine and the fabric! Thanks.
My fuzzy quilt helpers are the cats. From rearranging blocks laid out on the floor to weighing down stacks of fabric so they don't blow away, they are always involved. We have three. Cosmo, a gray van shelter kitty; Miles, a bronze Egyptian Mau; and Aurora, a calico se Scottish Fold
I have a dog, she's my baby, her name's Prisca, she's 11 years old, 1 and a half months ago, almost lost her because she got sick... very sick, she got an emergency surgery and got her uterus removed, after that she didn't look she got that surgery, she was happy than ever..., and have been fine since then :D, yay!!!!
When I was a child, one of my aunts used to have an Old English Sheepdog, her name was Bonnie, she was a great-caring dog, I'd love to have one someday, your Tillie's a cutie patotie!!!!, I see she loves to model :)
Allergies :(
So I keep warm by quilting.
I love your block
Thanks for a chance to win.

Often times I quilt in just quiet; which I find pleasant.
Your block is lovely and can't say enough for Maywood fabrics. They have such a nice soft feel to them!
I currently have two cats: Chessie, a 14 year old Maine Coon and Gracie, a tripod rescue we adopted in 2009 -- she is approximately 3 years old.
I'm deaf; so, I tend to sew in silence. The cats come in and out. They currently are not allowed in the sewing room unless I'm in there. Thus, they are never sure if they're allowed in there when I am in there. So, they're cautious to the point of being funny!
Thank you for a chance to win.

I used to have 2 Schnauzers but both have passed away in the last 4 years. Their names were Charlotte and Cindi.
They were such good buddies.
Love your block. I like the intricacy of it.
Thanks for a chance to win some prizes.
Congrats to you.
We had a dog for 14 years, had to put him down 2 years ago...his name was Wicket (after the Ewok in Star Wars). My kids were very scientific about naming him (or maybe I should say my hubby was) - we had to vote and had a whole chart going for names. He was about 6 1/2 pounds of love - a Maltese/red toy poodle mix.
His sewing adventures started when he was 6 months old and swallowed a threaded needle while on my lap - thread first - I couldn't get it in time, so he spent the night at the emergency clinic, then to a specialist, and he finally passed the thing without issue...and they gave me the needle back in a bio bag - yuck! Miss him greatly, but a lot of travel now to see my kids as they are spread out.

I'd also like to put in a good word for chickens. We have found them to be wonderful companions. They are sweet and funny and as individual as any dog, cat, or person we've known.
Your block is so beautiful. I can't wait to get a copy of the magazine. Thanks for the generous giveaway. I'm crossing my fingers for the lovely fabric, but would be delighted to be chosen in any order!
When I was a kid we took my aunt's dog, Husk, to live with us because my aunt's neighborhood had become too congested and they were afraid Husk would get hit by a car. Husk was black lab and Husky (hence her name) and looked like a small bear. She was an excellent dog!
Your block is lovely! I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the issue so I can make it.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt block!
Your block is gorgeous!
I love the background fabric you used, and couldn't believe I have a yard in my stash- must have been snuck in by a friend- lol
Sewing time for me is thinking time. I guess I'm a complete oddball - not pets, no radion, cds or tv while I'm sewing.
Yes, it takes all kinds to make a world.

As soon as I saw your name in the line up of blogs to visit I thought I would see something with geese! You surprised me! Your block is fantastic and fabric choices spot on me!
I've been wanting one of your rulers! I see them all over blogland! In fact, the project I've been working on currently I've been using the Geese 4 At a Time technique and I keep thinking I should have gotten your ruler! Maybe Santa will bring me one for the stocking. :-)
one red named Pocahontas (Pokey) 11 yrs old
one black & tan named cherokeerose (cherry) 11 yrs old
and a black lab mix Max he's about 9 yrs old.
I like cats too, but the dogs don't.
Thank you the chance to win.

Congratulations on having your beautiful block in the new magazine and thank you for your generous giveaway. I haven't tried your Fit to be Geese ruler but I need to. I've been making Flying Geese for the last few days and getting more frustrated with each one. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I've made them before with no trouble, but I subscribe to the old adage, "If at first" LOL. Hugs...

Hunter and Mittens litter brothers who are 14. Thanks for the chance, love your block!
Congrats on being included in the magazine.
I was wondering if you are French or of French origin as your name sounds very French and the Memory of Provence could be another hint?

Your new fabric is beautiful!
Thanks for the chance to win extras.
I love cats; always have. I love dogs too and always wanted a Yorkie. I have one cat now. We bought him from a cattery two states away from where we live. We went to pick him up after our weekend away for our 1st wedding anniversary back in 2003. His legal name is "Michicats Babycham LaMieux" but we call him Baby. He's a Ragdoll and the most interesting and awesome cat I've ever owned. He talks all the time and has a number of different 'voices' with one of them sounding more like a Gremlin than a cat. That one really freaks people out but it's super funny and that's the one he uses most often. He MUST be in the same room as me ALL the time as most Ragdolls do BUT, he takes that a bit far. Not only does he need to be in the same room, he gets upset when I go behind the shower curtain so he walks the tub between the shower curtain and liner to keep an eye on me or, most often will actually sit IN the back end of the tub while I take my shower even though he's being sprayed with water. He's just a constant source of humor for my husband and I.
I've had him since he was 6 weeks old...we've lived quite the life together.
I have been following your blog for several months upon discovering it by searching for a Provence BOM program. I got lucky and found one of my favorite online shops offering it (shameless plug for Craft Town Fabrics) AND your blog. Tillie is aDORable!!
Thanks for participating in the blog hop and sharing your beautiful block.

I think I am neither and I'd prefer silence (I find it difficult to concentrate otherwise :D)
Thanks for the chance!
I just love your block and aspire to be able to do applique half as good as yours.
I love hand applique, especially flowers. Your block is lovely.
