Quiltmaker 100 Block Blog Tour

Welcome!

It is so nice to once again be included in the magazine and the blog tour!  I love to hear from everyone and hope that you will comment for a chance to win a copy of the magazine plus much more!

The block that is included in the Quiltmaker 100 Block Volume 5 is called Diamond Eyes.  It may not be a surprise to some of you that one of my favorite elements in a block and quilts as well, is the diamond shape.  I think it adds beauty to the quilts and some different elements.  Here is my block:

Since my husband has been ill and I have been working on getting ready for Market, I decided to do some give-aways instead of a project.  I hope that you understand and although I don't have alot of time, I can do some great give-aways.  If you make a comment, you will be entered to win one of the following:

First, the magazine is giving away a copy of the Quiltmaker 100 Blocks Volume 5.

Second, my newest rulers will be debuting at Market.  It is a "mini" Fit to be Quarter and is called Fit to be Quarter 2.5.  It works just like the Fit to be Quarter but it's only 2 1/2".  SO cute!  I am giving away 8 of these!  It is so new, it's not even on my website yet!

Third, there have been quite a few people blogging about 2 of my rulers: Fit to be Geese and Mini Fit to be Geese.  Thanks Kathie and Thelma!  The Fit to be Geese ruler can be used for my block so I decided to give away 3 of these.  Also, I am giving away 2 Mini Fit to be Geese rulers.

So, in all you have 14 chances to win something...better odds than the lotto!  All you have to do is make a comment on the following:

Since it is spring, what is your favorite flower?  Anyone who knows me, knows mine are tulips.  I have been receiving a lot of tulips from friends and family lately to help make me smile and they certainly have!  Thank you!

Good luck in the drawing and I close the drawing on Saturday night and will announce the winner Monday morning.  Please make sure that if you do not want to leave your email address, that you watch Monday morning to see if you have won.

Thank you everyone who has wished the best for my husband and I.  He is doing better but it will be a long recovery.  I just thank God that he is still with me.

I can understand what you are going through myself. My husband has had throat cancer, survived; colon cancer, survived and now will have surgery in June for removal of his bladder. He almost died when he had the first bladder surgery. Now, he has to go to Standford to have the bladder removed. It has been a rough road but we will survive and just makes your marriage even more special. So, giveways are awesome. It is all we enjoy almost as well as fabric. Speaking of flowers, I also love tulips. I really like the vast assortment of colors. You are a very generous lady to give away so much. So, I just want to thank you for your participation and giving us all a chance to win.

Those rulers look fantastic! My favorite spring flower is the daffodil. I grew up in Florida and it was too hot and humid there for them, but I sometimes got to visit my grandparents in Connecticut in the springtime and daffodils were everywhere. They seemed to poke their cheery heads up and greet spring with a smile.

Hope your husband recovers quickly!

You've created another beautiful block Monique. Your new ruler looks awesome. I was fortunate enough to win your Fit to be Geese rulers but havne't had a chance to touch them more than to read the instructions. My husband's father became sick and we had to go to MI. I'm sorry about your husband. I hope he's still doing well.

My favorite Spring flower are my lilacs but because of the smell. Sadly those don't last too long so the one flower I really look forward to seeing are the Blue Iris. I just love those because they do last a little longer.

I am seeing more traditional-type blocks on this hop than in the past. I think yours is wonderful! One of my favorite flowers is the tulip as well! That is because of my Dutch heritage. I have a bunch of them planted in the front garden, and each spring a lot of them pop out of the ground. Alas, they are all leaves and only one ever blooms. Sigh...

Snowdrops! They're so brave and optimistic. When they start to bloom, I can convince myself that it's spring, no matter what the temperature.
I don't know if I can pick just one! I love flowers in general. If I have to choose just one, it would be daffodils as they are usually the first flower of spring and a promise of warm sun shiny days ahead.

A favorite flower? My lilacs will be blooming soon and the flowers are high enough the deer can't eat them. We won't talk about what they do to tulips. Win or not, I wish your husband a speedy recovery.
