In a world of so much negativity we all need a huge hug don't you agree?
The Splendid Sampler 2 by Pat Sloan and Jane Davidson (https://www.thesplendidsampler.com/)  is an wonderful book with different techniques and inspiration!  I am having so much fun doing my Thursday night Facebook Live Events using the different blocks from the book. In my design you will learn 30° Triangles and how to put this fun block together!

Hi All!
We are on Block #6 of The Splendid Sampler 2 Quilt Along.  Have you joined us yet?  If not, there's still plenty of time to start.  One of the many nice things about the Quilt Along is that the blocks are smaller, 6" finished so to catch up, it doesn't take long.  Also, you don't have to do all the blocks, you can pick and choose...after all there are 20 free blocks with a total of 80 blocks to choose from!
Here is my version of Block #6...love my theme of Coastal Chic Batiks and the way that it feels like you are at the beach!
Coastal Chic Batiks are arriving in stores!  Check with your local quilt shop for availability.  So excited!!

Blogger Girls Block of the Month II

Welcome!  Hope that you are as excited about the Block of the Month as I am!  First, here is a picture of the quilt.



The blocks are 6" finished.  The blocks are set with sashing and flip corners and they are 9" finished.  The alternate blocks are 9" finished.  The finished size of the quilt is 59" square.  I have posted the first month's instructions as well as the supply list.  Here are the guidelines:

Here's how it works:

Starting January 1st, 2014, I will have a block along with instructions posted on my blog. You can download the block instructions from my website and sew along with us.  This year, each one of the participating bloggers provided me with a block for the quilt.  I wrote the instructions and designed the setting. 

I will post one block a month on the first day of the month from January to July. To make the quilt, you will need to make 2 of each block and 3 of one of the blocks.  For the 3 blocks, I will tell you which block to make…
