Blogger Girls Block of the Month Quilt Parade

Happy July 1st and to the Canadians, Happy Canada Day!

Today is the day for the Blogger Girls Block of the Month Quilt Parade.  I am so excited and thrilled to see everyone's quilts.  Make sure that you go to the other participating bloggers to see their quilts.  Here is a list:

Sherri from A Quilting Life - aquiltinglife.blogspot.com
Thelma from Cupcakes ‘n Daisies ~ cupcakesndaisies.blogspot.com
Lissa from Moda Lissa ~ ModaLissa.blogspot.com
Denise from Quilter’s Window ~ Quilterswindow.com/blog/
Nicole from Sister’s Choice ~ sisterschoice.typepad.com
Lisa from Stashmaster ~ The-Stashmaster.blogspot.com

My friend, Kathy, and I have been working on our Chocolat Deux quilts.  We both did a block a month and then made our own quilts.  Here is Kathy's version:

We both made scrappy sashing and scrappy backgrounds for our blocks.  We both also used the same borders.  Here is mine:

They look quite a bit alike.

Another of my friends, Peggy, made the block of the month using batiks.  Here is her version:

If you have your quilt top finished or pieced, post a picture on the Blogger Girls BOM flickr group.  If you are not sure how to do that, send me a picture of your quilt and I will post it for you.  A few speedy quilters already have their quilts posted...so cool!  Some used the setting that I provided and some came up with their own.  I love every one of them!  You guys are so great!!

I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Thelma, Nicole, Lisa, Denise, Sherri and Lissa for participating in the Blogger Girls Block of the Month.  They are all talented and wonderful quilters and I am very proud to have had them join me.

One more thing, I'm cooking up something starting August 1st.  I really enjoyed running the BOM so wanted to do something else each month.  It's not a block of the month but it will have monthly installments, like the BOM.  I am planning on creating another block of the month in January so hopefully you will join us for that as well.

Also, I wanted to thank you for joining us and hope you continue to follow my blog.

These are all such beautiful quilts! I made 12 blocks and have cut all the fabrics for the sashings, but may use the summer to put the quilt together. Thank you so much for this free QAL...I enjoyed it so much! You're so talented and it was wonderful to see everyone's interpretations of the patterns. Thanks for the Canada Day wishes!

Thanks so much for doing this. When I saw this project on Sheri's blog, I recognized the "Fit to be Geese" ruler that I had bought several years ago, so I decided I might as well participate. I haven't kept up (4 blocks made out of 12!!), but I have printed all the instructions and hope to finish it up this year. I will stay on your mailing list to see what you come up with next. :-)
Thanks for the lovely patterns!! Hugs, H in Healdsburg (Ca)

Could I still get the pattern? Think I'm gonna have to have some cards, too!
