Blog Hop Day 5

Welcome to the last day of Traditional Fat Quarter Quilts blog hop.  It is a sad day because it is the last day but it's also a good day too because we are not blogging with just one blogger but two!  If you have missed any of the other bloggers, make sure that you check them out.  Monday was Thelma's day, Tuesday was Lisa's, Wednesday was Denise's and me and Thursday was Sherri's. 

Okay, now for today's bloggers.  First, Nicole from Sister's Choice.  I met Nicole through Carrie again.  Carrie is quite the connector, isn't she?  Again, Carrie sent Nicole my Fit to be Geese ruler to try.  Nicole put it away and some time later decided to try it.  Once she tried it, she was hooked and blogged about it.  That was the best sales that I have had!  Thanks, Nicole!!  I met Nicole face to face when she traveled to Illinois to take a class from Carrie.  Nicole is a wonderful, gentle soul and I immediately liked her.  She has a way with words and once you start reading her blog, you will continue to enjoy her eloquence. 

Last but certainly not least, Carrie Nelson from Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.  I met Carrie when she came to Illinois quite a few years ago.  When I met Carrie, I felt an instant friendship.  She is so easy to talk to, fun to be with and loves to talk.  She is a great listener and she told me that if I ever had any questions about designing, that I should ask her.  I have taken her up on that offer and she has always been helpful and gracious.  She is a true friend and I am so glad that I met her.  You will LOVE her blog.  She blogs just like she talks.

Monique, I have had such a fun week seeing all your quilts from your book. The girls have done wonderful jobs showing them in different colorways. I loved Carrie's post today, oh I loved it LOL!, especially Keanu, who's Canadian just like us! Congratulations on such is sure to be a very successful book!

I've loved using your Fit to Be Geese rulers since seeing them on Nicole's Sister's Choice blog! And, now learning so many 'interesting' things about YOU from Carrie this morning...quite the gal, aren'tcha'?? (if you've even done ONE of those things she described I'm impressed)!!! Great posts from everyone all week! Congrats on a wonderful book! Jan

Oh my gosh Monique! I am SO stupid. It just hit me today after following this blog tour all week for your awesome sounding book that I should have recognized the name of your blog. UGH. I feel like an idiot but we will just blame it on the pain meds I've been taking since some hand surgery last week shall we? :) Anyway, it finally dawned on me just now that you are only about 30 minutes away from me. Geez. I cannot believe it took me this long to make me realize this.

Anyway moving on...loved the blog tour and wanted to say congratulations again for your book. The ruler definitely sounds like something to check out also. Thank you for taking the time to put the blog tour together. Gosh, maybe I should go back to Carrie's blog now and make her jealous that you live so close to me. HAHA

Happy Friday!  Today is my day to join in the Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Blog Tour .  Yes, that means that I have a block included in the magazine!  The tour has been going on all week so make sure that you check out the other designers that are involved in the tour.   Here is the cover of the magazine: It's so great that they have printed 7 - 100 Block Magazines!  I am also so proud to say that I have been in all 7 issues!  My block is called Tiara...do you sense a theme these days?  I have a book coming up next week (squee!) called Diamond Traditions and I called this block Tiara...do you think I'm a princess?!  My husband sure thinks so!  Anyway, here is my block: I used the purple colorway of my fabric with Maywood Studio, Royal Gardens .  I love the way this block has a center that you can fussy-cut or use an interested print inside.  It was fun to make and there are so many possibilities to make a quilt with it....

Quiltmaker 100 Block Blog Tour

Hi Everyone! Glad you could drop by for the blog tour.  It is day 2, make sure that you check out all the featured bloggers on the tour.  You can see who is blogging today and all week on Quiltmaker's Blog . Quiltmaker 100 Block Blog Tour

Welcome! It is so nice to once again be included in the magazine and the blog tour!  I love to hear from everyone and hope that you will comment for a chance to win a copy of the magazine plus much more!
